My Poetry

Merge
You've known for a mile now, the warnings were clear;
but you think you're priviledged and now we are here.
I too, saw the warnings, I merged over then.
What makes you so special, to wait till the end?
Those cars there behind me, and those up ahead,
have waited here with me, just like the signs said.
Oh, I see your blinker, "let me over" it chimes;
but I'll disregard it, like you did the signs.
It's not that I'm ugly, I'm really quite nice.
If you'd waited here with me, I'd let you in twice.
I'd give you a wave, with a smile on my face.
"Come on over my friend, there's plenty of space."
But alas you don't think, that you should waste time.
Your time's more important, than his, hers, or mine.
Well, I beg to differ, I think you're a jerk.
and I won't let you in, this time it won't work!
Like everyone else, you can sit there and wait;
then maybe you'll realize, you're not all that great.
